About Chef LynnI'm Lynn Edgar, chef and owner of Dinner Is Served! I am an honors graduate of L’Academie de Cuisine culinary
school, in Gaithersburg, MD, a top 10 culinary school. I have worked in such fine dining restaurants as Elliotts on Linden in Pinehurst,
North Carolina and The Majestic Cafe' in Alexandria, VA. I live in Durham where I work as a personal chef for people interested in enjoying delicious and nutritious meals in their own home.
I love scouring the local farmer's markets for fresh, local
ingredients. My passion is to deliver delicious meals, cooked with
seasonal ingredients for folks who are interested in eating more healthy
but just don't have the time or desire to shop and cook.
I
graduated from Carolina with a degree in Psychology and worked in
the high tech industry for 21 years, selling software, before deciding
to change
careers and become a chef. I have traveled extensively through Africa,
Europe,
Southeast Asia and Australia, so have developed a love for international
cuisine.
When traveling through Africa, I managed Coffee Bay Backpackers, in South Africa. Along with taking guests deep sea fishing, hiking and surfing, I enjoyed cooking for 20 – 30
people per
night.
What a great job! That is when I began thinking about a career
in cooking.

Spinach pie with pine nuts and goat cheese
